A smart home system that utilizes body tracking technology to keep children safe. 

ABOUT
We believe a smart home is a place where the people living there feel and are safe, and thus we want to make the home a safer place in order to make it smarter! 

It solves real safety issues with home appliances and electrical outlets, but also gives parents, etc. peace of mind knowing people in their home are safer for their children. The aim is also to let parents know their child could have been in a dangerous situation and encourage them to teach the children about safety.

TARGET GROUP
Parents will be our target group since they have children about whom they may be concerned about in the home. 

Our initial interviews with a sample of 6-7 parents have so far revealed that they would like to be notified when their children are in potentially dangerous situations. The interviews also revealed that scaring or alerting the child may not be the best approach and that the areas that involve the most anxiety for parents are electrical sockets, windows, stoves, and falling.

FUTURE WORK
It could be expanded to the envisioned scope, covering a whole home, more advanced detection etc. The user response and how people feel about it can be explored more.
